This is but a short rest for these men are on a daunting mission. Four thousand men, led by the astute companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him), Amr ibn Al'Aas, will take on the might of Byzantine Egypt in an attempt to spread Islam to the land of the Pharaohs. This is no easy task. Even the Muslim Khalifah, Umar ibn Khattab has his doubts. 40,000 men were involved in the Syrian campaign, will a meagre 4000 be enough to taken on the might of Egypt? These 4000 men would open the way for conquest that would reach the very heart of Europe itself!
